When to replace filters
Filter replacement intervals depend on the equipment, the type of filter and the working environment. As a general rule:
- Follow the replacement interval given by the equipment manufacturer (OEM) as your starting point.
- Where air cleaners have a restriction indicator, change the element when the indicator shows the limit, not by guesswork. Changing too early wastes filters, and opening the housing more often than needed can let dust in.
- In very dusty or demanding conditions, check filters more often than the standard schedule.
- Always use the correct part number for your machine, and replace seals and gaskets supplied with the element.
